[divider]Above & Beyond – We Are All We Need[/divider]

A trio of Northwest favorites that will always be welcome in our corner of the country, Above & Beyond deliver yet again with We Are All We Need. It is the group’s fifth studio album, and first since their beautiful Acoustic work from January of 2014. Released via their very own Anjunabeats label earlier this year, We Are All We Need is exactly what fans of Above & Beyond look for: Soul-searching lyrics, masterful melodies, phenomenal vocalists, and an energetic combination of progressive house and trance. The musical prowess of Jono, Tony, and Paavo is undeniable, and We Are All We Need is just more evidence on top of the mountains that Seattle’s trance family already has stock-piled.

We were lucky enough to get more than a couple sessions of Group Therapy in the Northwest in 2014, as well as a stop on the ‘We Are All We Need Tour’ at the Tacoma Dome last month. There’s currently no shows in the Northwest on the docket for Above & Beyond, but we don’t doubt their return will come sooner rather than later. [divider]Jack Ü – Skrillex & Diplo Present Jack Ü[/divider]

Collaboration project Jack Ü is attempting to take over EDM. Made up of super-duo Skrillex and Diplo, Jack Ü are firmly at the fore of dance music in 2015. Their takeover of Skrillex’s headlining set at Ultra 2015, which featured Diddy, Bieber, and more, the announcement of their upcoming tour, as well as hints at an upcoming album, make how great the duo’s debut release is that much more impressive. They’re everywhere, all the time, and are still putting out quality music. With Skrillex & Diplo Present Jack Ü, the duo successfully achieve just what the title says, and present themselves and their sound to the world.

Although many of us have been following Jack Ü long before the February release of their debut album, having a solid stack of tunes to enjoy from the duo, rather than live-sets with exclusive snippets, is a refreshing treat. If anything, you’ll definitely have an idea of the sound and style of Jack Ü, which is an incredibly unique yet familiar feeling combination of our favorite aspects of both Skrillex and Diplo. [divider]The Prodigy – The Day Is My Enemy[/divider]

Releasing their first album in six years, The Prodigy were aiming to take on all things ‘EDM’, and The Day Is My Enemy does that in spades. The latest from the legendary group is unlike any other album out there and is loaded with that unique, instantly-make-your-heart-race energy that one can only find in tunes from The Prodigy. The sixth studio album overall, with their debut coming in 1992, The Day Is My Enemy was released on March 30th, and is available to download on iTunes. The album is receiving high praise already, and has topped the Official UK Album chart, the sixth such album from The Prodigy to do so, beating out stiff competition from Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran.
