[divider]ALVIN RISK @ ASTON MANOR – MAY 21ST[/divider]
Washington D.C.-native Alvin Risk is a Northwest-favorite who’s put on memorable sets at festivals and clubs throughout the region. Risk last came through the area in January of this year, playing in Portland and Vancouver, and was one of our favorite sets at Paradiso 2014. Now, he’s returning to Seattle for the first time since performing at Foundation Nightclub last year, and he’s doing so at Aston Manor. You can purchase tickets to the show, taking place on May 21st with local support Justin Hartinger, Doozy, and Shane Christian, here. Info on the event can be found on the Facebook event page and on Aston Manor’s official site.
[divider]BT @ FOUNDATION – MAY 23RD[/divider]
A date that many Northwest dance music fans have had circled on their calendar for more than a little while is May 23rd. Since his cancelled performance at Foundation in November of last year, which featured Maor Levi and Gabriel & Dresden as late fill-ins, we’ve been waiting for the return of BT to the Northwest. On may 23rd, that wait ends. Set up to be another classic Progression Saturday, BT will be joined by locals Johnny Monsoon, Eddie Pitzul, and Jae.
He’s undoubtedly one of the figureheads of electronic music, and his work and contributions to music is stuff of legend. You’ll want to join the rest of the sold-out crowd that will accompany BT on his return to the Emerald City, and purchase your ticket here before it’s too late. It’s down to the last two tiers of tickets, so you’ll want to get yours ASAP. But, if you have the horrid misfortune of missing out on BT, you can make up for it by dancing your woes away at Foundation from open to close with trance superstar Markus Schulz on May 28th.
[divider]MADNESS: SHIBA SAN @ Q NIGHTCLUB – MAY 23RD[/divider]
A newly themed night at Q Nightclub, bringing with it the mystery of what it is and what it will become, seems the most fitting place for the Seattle debut of Shiba San. A relatively mysterious Frenchman bringing a unique blend of house and hip-hop sounds like the perfect fit for a night of ‘Madness’. He’s worked with Claude von Stroke’s Dirtybird label and continues to impress with each performance. The combination of venue, artists, and price for this show are too good to beat, and while you’re bummed you’re not going to SASQUATCH!, this Saturday night show will certainly ease the pain. Get your tickets here and check out the Facebook event page here.
