Armin van Buuren
Last appearing in the Northwest at FreakNight 2012, we know we’re not alone in thinking that Armin van Buuren needs to bring ASOT to the Northwest ASAP. The Dutchman came close, bringing his ‘Armin Only Intense’ tour to Vancouver, BC in May of this year. But close doesn’t cut it, and we want more Armin. We understand that the man is busy, coordinating ASOT world tours, performing at the world’s biggest festivals, and running his own music label. Business aside, the Northwest Trance Family loves a good melody and nobody delivers live-sets quite like the King of Trance. Here’s hoping the legendary artist finds some time to fit the Northwest into his tour schedule in the near future.
Avicii
Avicii, also known as Tim Bergling, is a cross-genre star, leading the tidal wave of dance music that crashed onto mainstream radio stations across the country. The Grammy nominated Swede has produced massive hit after massive hit. The hours in the studio, combined with the vigorous tour schedules artists are known for, have taken their toll on Avicii’s health in recent months. It’s been a lot for the 25-year-old to take on, as it would be for anyone. His health issues led to the cancellation of the rest of his 2014 tour dates. Despite the health issues, Avicii is still releasing new tunes and has even released some details about his upcoming album. He last performed in the Northwest in 2012, playing at Paradiso that year. Once he’s healthy, a return to the Northwest is a must.
