Poolside are sure to bring some funky summer fun to Block Party on Saturday.
Based out of Los Angeles Poolside’s sounds have an irresistible sunny California funk to them that make us think of happy summer road trips and barbecues and smiles in Polaroid photos. Poolside combines the talents of Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise. Slow Down, one of their more recent tracks, inspires us to sway in a hammock for hours drifting into peaceful bliss. Other tracks such as Do You Believe sound like they were plucked right out of the 1970’s in all their funky synthy glory with a bassline that just won’t quit. Electropop with a side of hip hop, these guys will be an excellent adventure in the sunshine with plenty of friends to dance with.
Poolside may not have received much radio attention yet, but we have full faith that their appearance at Block Party will help launch them on to many radars. The decade-spanning sounds they create will have something for everybody in their set, there are sure to be many smiles in the crowd as a new favorite is discovered. Their synth beats will be perfect for their Saturday afternoon Main Stage performance and we cannot wait to see what surprises they throw in their set.
