Take Us Back To The Farm

Everything about Shambhala was perfect; there really aren’t enough words to describe this one-of-a-kind festival. We gave it a try though!
Armin Gone Psy

Armin van Buuren made another PNW return this year, serving as co-headliner at Freaknight. Sporting face-splitting makeup, and a pumpkin shirt, the godfather of trance went dark with his set- incorporating frightening shrieks and visuals to set the Halloween mood. The second half of his set featured a ton of psy trance, something we didn’t see at Paradiso ’15 or Get Together a few months earlier. Seeing the same artist three times in a short time span can be tiring, but Armin is able to keep things fresh. Psy trance was a pleasant surprise, one that had everyone under the twisted big top jumping up and down. Except when he debuted Great Spirit, his collaboration with Vini Vici- talk about confused faces as a giant Indian head took over the LED screens!
That Girl Is A Real Crowd Pleaser

It’s one thing to watch the Mannequin Challenge being performed all over social media. It’s another to actually be a part of it! Flosstradamus had us standing still when they took over the Tacoma Dome in November, in what would ultimately become their last performance in the PNW as a duo.
