In a recent tweet, 1788-L announced the release date for his first EP, set for release on April 26th. The EP will come out on Deadbeats, joining the ranks of Space Jesus and Rezz. The announcement came via a banner flown over Miami, clearly announcing his intentions.

No further information is currently available about the EP, and as of now, we’re uncertain how many tracks will be included or if there’s a connecting theme. Earlier this year he released Ruin in collaboration with Ekali, which pushed his sound into a more ethereal direction. Regardless, we’re sure that the EP will deliver 1788-L’s signature downtempo bass style. We also know that he’s recently collaborated with Kayzo, though there’s no confirmation of any collaborative tracks on the album.
We’re excited to see what comes from this up-and-comer’s first album. With 1788-L’s sudden rise to fame after the release of his Particle Arts remix, quickly follower by HEX in collaboration with Rezz, it’s been exciting to watch his career explode. We’re certainly in for a treat at the end of the month.
