The Winter Music Conference (WMC) is returning to Miami for its 34th year under a  brand new model after being purchased by Ultra Music Festival. The event is set to return to the Faena Forum from Monday, March 25th through Thursday, March 28th; the Conference, which played a large role in kickstarting the production industry in the ’80s, remains the ideal site for anyone interested in DJing, the electronic dance music industry, and strengthening network connections.

This year, the Winter Music Conference is offering two different levels of participation for the first time. WMC // Industry will provide those who are already well-established in the fields of music business or technology with access to additional meeting spaces and panels, as well as opportunities to network in a concentrated area with professionals at similar stages in their career; this option is by application or invitation only. Applications are accepted through WMC’s website here.

The other option, WMC // Access, is for paying guests and geared towards DJs looking to get a head start through mentorship programs and meetings with industry experts. This option also gives patrons access to all vendors and exhibitions at WMC. Tickets will run you $150 for the week.

This change signals a major revamp of one of the industry’s leaders, and sit well for Ultra Music Festival as they look for a new venue for next year’s festival.
