Early last Friday, tickets went on sale for the Seattle stop of singer-producer Washed Out’s nationwide tour. The tour will complement the release of his upcoming album Mister Mellow, which released June 30th on Stones Throw Records. Over the last few weeks, the artist released a string of singles hinting at a new artistic direction. If these new releases are any indication, Washed Out’s new sound is shedding itself of its chill-wave origins for a more upbeat, disco inspired mantra. You can check out the trailer for the album below! The Seattle show will take place on August 19th at the Showbox on 1st Ave. Tickets are starting at $27, and you can grab a pair right here. If you’re in the Portland area, the artist will be heading to the Roseland Theater on August 18th, and tickets will start at $23 each before fees. Doors for the Seattle show are at 8, and the Portland show at 9. Make sure to check out Washed Out’s latest single, Hard To Say Goodbye, before the tour right here: Will you be coming out for the show? What do yo think of the new singles?
