Trio Of Northwest Artists Release Remixes

The creative juices are flowing throughout the Northwest, and three local artists are sharing the fruits of their early-2015 labor with us. Spokane’s Beauflexx, Seattle’s Eliminate, and Pullman’s Sixfour all released remixes this week, with a little something available for everyone. Reworking the likes of Eminem, Drake, and Pleasurekraft, there’s sure to be a local take on one of these major tunes that fits your fancy.

Collaborating with Abstract Jack and Vinetii, Seattle-native Beauflexx put together a ‘retwerk’ of Nicki Minaj’s collaboration with Lil Wayne and Drake, Truffle Butter. Giving the track an edge that the original was missing, Beauflexx and company get the tune ready for the dance floor. A veteran of some of the Northwest’s biggest festivals, Beauflexx showcases his ability to know what gets people moving, and doesn’t hold back. We’re excited to see more remixes and original tunes from Beauflexx, also known as Beau Howard, whose Soundcloud is full of quality bootlegs, mixes, and live-sets.

Fresh off of his Foundation Nightclub debut alongside Reid Speed, Eliminate is already proving that his incredible 2014 was no joke. Also known as Nathan Merrill, the Washington State University alum delivers high-energy bass-infused tunes on a consistent basis, and his work on Eminem’s Spacebound is another reason why we continually want more. Not afraid to slow things down, speed them up, or do whatever sounds right, Eliminate continues to highlight his growth as a producer with an impressive variety of high quality tracks.

Known for his ability to keep the integrity of the original track intact, Northwest-native Sixfour again shows that he’s not afraid to take on any song and go in any direction. This time, Sixfour (also known as Derek Lombardo) went back to his minimal roots and had some fun with Pleasurekraft’s Tarantula. A catalog of tunes that spans melbourne bounce, drum & bass, and a little of everything in between, Sixfour keeps giving us reasons to listen, and his latest remix is definitely on the list. Currently attending Washington State University, we’re excited to see what Sixfour has in store for the rest of 2015.
