This only pertains to payment plan purchases
Ticketmaster has sent out an emergency alert to notify ticket holders that they had accidentally shipped their Paradiso tickets. Essentially, a shipment of tickets went out in the mail in error to payment plan customers. Ticketmaster canceled these tickets soon after the shipment. One vulnerability this leaves is a number of tickets with invalid barcodes sent out to customers. To this, we would warn you that scalpers could potentially use this to take advantage of people buying from vendors who aren’t Ticketmaster. This is an opportunity for them to “double” their money by selling you a bunk ticket.
These tickets are going to sell out and the only way you’re going to be able to buy tickets after they do is online. Only accept tickets that can be transferred through Ticketmaster in house transfer system online it at all possible. All of your questions can be answered here. This is the safest way to get tickets, plus scalpers can’t really use it since it has to be transferred for a fair price.
We hope you take this warning seriously and follow our advice on how to keep from being taken advantage of. Use these steps at all times when you are looking to buy tickets through 3rd parties. Now the only thing you need to do is remember to bring everything with you to The Gorge!
UPDATE: EDM.com received a statement from Ticketmaster, stating the company insisted “all invalid tickets have been recovered and destroyed.” We still recommend exercising caution in purchasing from 3rd party vendors like StubHub and Craigslist, but this is still a promising development.
