These 7 Artists Are Winning Festival Season 2015

Jack U Ultra

The EDM-boom of the last decade has led to an absurd growth in the number of festivals around the world. Throughout Asia, Europe, and North America, hundreds of the world’s most popular DJs perform at festival after festival, globetrotting all summer long. This time of year, affectionately known as ‘festival season’, is an aspect of dance music that has, and continues to, gain massive mainstream popularity. This growth in popularity has made festival season a crucial part of every DJs calendar.

Each year the shape and style of festival season changes, and so do the artist names we see appearing on the countless lineups we scour month after month. For major DJs, it’s a way to capitalize on current success, while for lesser-known artists, festival season can create the buzz necessary for a breakout year. While festival season is the best part of dance music fandom for many, it’s just as important to the artists. Taking advantage of the numerous possibilities that come from festival season is a must for many artists, and year after year, some do it better than others.

This year is no different, and there are more than a few artists who are taking full advantage of Festival Season 2015. It’s only the beginning of May, and several artists have dozens of festival performances lined up over the coming months. There’s still plenty of lineups to be released, but based off of what we’ve been given thus far, these seven acts are winning festival season this summer.
