The guys over at The Dance Music Diaries have spent their first few weeks chatting with behind-the-scene tastemakers, label bosses, and more. For their latest episode though, we have ourselves a Northwest favorite who works both behind and in front of the scene: Darrius. As one of our favorite local talents, his is a face that’s instantly recognizable, that you can see walking around at just about every major show when he’s not on the decks himself.
He became something of a Seattle hero following Above & Beyond’s unfortunate Resolution mishap, when he and Johnny Monsoon jumped up on the decks to save the night. And of course, when he’s not fulfilling his duties as a resident DJ at Foundation Nightclub, he’s working as one of the powers behind their massive bookings.
