Simply put, certain movements in dancing will trigger women to find men more attractive. It’s not a stretch to think that certain styles do make a difference. We’ve all had one of those “LOOK AT THAT DUDE DANCE” moments, as well as “Man…dude can’t dance.” To help visually understand, below are two samples gathered from the study, the first a display of bad dancing and the second, good dancing.

Shakira would agree with the data here, saying that “The hips don’t lie.” With some obvious reasons as to why women may find these areas as key factors to dancing attractiveness. It’s no wonder guys like Elvis, John Travolta and Patrick Swayze are killers on the dance floor. Even further, the study also presented the idea that suggests human male movements could also form honest signals towards traits such as health, fitness, genetic quality and developmental history, but these results have yet to be confirmed.

With all this valuable information there is still one thing science may not be able to teach though, and thats rhythm. Some people are born with 2 left feet, but that easily cured with some practice. Ultimately though, it doesn’t matter if you’re a good, or bad dancer. At the end of the day science says dancing is good for you no matter what. And more importantly, as long as you’re having fun thats all that matters. So get out there and dance like no ones watching, shake your wild rumpus, and get funky!
