This summer, Day 1 Collective presents their second annual Sunshine Sessions Music & Arts Festival in Eugene, Oregon, featuring DJs, live art, food, beer and more!
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 24 at Alton Baker Park. This is an all ages festival, with a 21+ beer garden. Not only can you dance all day, you can participate in 4 educational seminars, 3 interactive classes, and sunset yoga. This is not only about the music, but about art and the community!
Musical talent includes Mark Farina (first time playing in Eugene), Sacha Robotti, The Schmidt, Matt Wax, DILLARD, Evergreen and more. You will be able to hear the music nice and clear with the Funktion-One system they are bringing in for the festival.
If you are looking for ways to help out, look into ways you can volunteer, become an artist, or vendor. You can also help out by just purchasing a ticket. Day 1 Collective will be donating $2 of every ticket sale to “support local music education programs and supply instruments to students who could not otherwise afford them.”
Eugene is a great place for such a family friendly music festival that features a day full of music, local food, talent, art, and education under the sun. Make sure to check out the full lineup and all the activities happening this year. Tickets can be purchased now through the event’s Facebook Page. Make sure to follow Day 1 Collective on their Twitter and Facebook to keep up to date on their events.
