Halloween Costume Ball with Stanton Warriors. What Else Could You Need?

What are your plans for Halloween, Victoria? The official holiday of all things strange, All Hallows’ Eve, is the perfect opportunity to let your freak flag fly high, which anyone reading this article probably has tucked away at the bottom of their tickle trunk somewhere.

It's in there somewhere...just keep looking.

It’s time to get your freak on one last time before old man winter comes and bites us in the ass. We may not be as cold as the rest of the country, but that doesn’t make us any more excited to battle the elements for the next six months. So when we received the invitation to the Future Bass Costume Ball featuring a THREE HOUR Stanton Warriors throw down, we obviously had to say yes.

One of Britain’s finest exports, Stanton Warriors, made waves with their release “The Stanton Sessions” back in 2001, and found themselves with a global fan-base by the time the follow up “Stanton Sessions Volume 2” was released in 2006 – which just so happens to be one of this writer’s favorite albums.

Perfecting their sound during a time when the legends of Fabric nightclub were known as the best in the business, Stanton Warriors have become instantly recognizable for their one of a kind, bass heavy beats, and were an intricate part of a massive influx of community in the PNW during a brief, but popular, breakbeat golden age that ran in the mid to late 2000’s.

These days, Mark Yardley and Dominic Butler are still working hard in the studio and tearing up nightclubs and festivals across the planet. No stranger to events in the PNW, the Stanton Warriors are set to return to our neighborhood this Saturday as they bring their brand of booty shaking beats to Sugar Nightclub in Victoria, BC.

Stanton Warriors, Sugar, Noble House Entertainment

Stanton Warriors take over Sugar Nightclub for 3 hours this Saturday!

Hosted by Noble House Entertainment, one of Victoria’s longest running promotion companies, the night opens with another familiar name to our scene as Victoria’s own Xavier. The man behind the camera at the ever popular Xavier Photography, opens up the night in the element that got him into the scene to begin with; falling in love with a Stanton Warriors track back in ’01.

DMNW has seen Stanton Warriors before. We’ve seen them throw down short sets in sweaty, little clubs and we’ve witnessed marathons at some of the most popular music festivals around the PNW. But we’ve never, EVER witnessed a three hour set from Bristol’s very best. And with this being their only stop in our neck of the woods (for the foreseeable future), you’d be the only monster not to be there this Saturday.

Being touted as a Future Bass Costume Ball two days from Halloween, you know damn well the crowd is going all out for this one! So don’t count on door sales getting you your place among the madness. Dawn your best freak night flare and get your tickets while they’re still available at Lyle’s Place, or by clicking here and guaranteeing your presence among the music, magic, and mayhem!
