Soft & Soothing Delorean’s Remix of Shura – Touch Will Melt Hearts

Dance-pop quartet Delorean have been remixing a whole string of female-fronted indie acts recently. Haim, Empress Of, and, now, the UK-based newcomer Shura. Shura’s debut track, “Touch,” is a soft and gentle daydream. Sounding a bit like Blood Orange and HAIM, it’s a cool, pulsing heart-break pop song. Delorean delivers their signature remix and preserves the delicacy and emotional rawness of the original track. There’s nothing more haunting than the coastal delay effects that subtly paint a picture of strained love. We’re crushing hard on analogue synths at the moment, and this remix does it right in all the right places. Plus, the lyric, “I want to touch you, but there’s too much history,” is so achingly simple, and perfect. It just gives us that frustrated longing that accompanies the prospect of reigniting an old romance, and the ghostly melody is unforgettable. Hands together for the Spanish dance-rockers Delorean and their balearic remix of ‘Touch.”
