Simplify Recordings Launches New Site, Aims High for 2014 and Beyond

Simplify Recordings has been discovering and pushing out future sounds before the future even knew they existed. Washington native and DJ Aaron Simpson, created Simplify from simple roots in 2009 and has released smashing new singles and albums ever since. J. Rabbit, K TheoryStephan Jacobs, Sugarpill, Phrenik, At Dawn We Rage, iLL-eshaPhutureprimitive, Defunk, KJ Sawka, and so many more are some of the eclectic acts on the imprint’s roster. The sounds of this label align with the bass-head in all of us, yet seek to expand our palette by offering courses in the realm of neurofunk, future garage, and those that defy class and genre altogether.

Recently, the label has been gaining huge momentum as the imprint vaulted K Theory’s UBS 2013 VIP and Rudebrat’s Won’t Stop singles to no. 1 spots on the Beatport Top 100 charts for Hip Hop and Dubstep. Hands down, the strongest feature of this recording house is their dedication to the underdog. The label’s extensive catalog features slews of rising, diverse talent and cater specifically to those who are pushing the sonic envelope. The imprint has even made a sonic appearance in Workaholics with Kezwik & Protohype’s Camp Bisco favorite, Problematic.

With the launch of their fresh new website while firing off over 11 new releases since the January, Simplify has made it official that this year marks the evolution and exciting next chapter of the vanguard PNW imprint. Naturally, we couldn’t wait to inquire about this and tracked down the ever-busy Mr. Simpson to ask what’s in store for fans in the coming year. His brief response has us tingling. Two words: Album releases!
We plan on giving you at least one release a week, for a bass-filled 2014. Also expect full length albums from K Theory, Love & Light, and Defunk.
So here’s to you Simplify family! This is for all  of your hard work, dedication, and contributions to the scene. May the Year of the Horse bring fortune and favor to the house that passion built. Peep the new website here!

Without further adieu, we present to you some of our favorite Simplify tracks – collated for your listening convenience. Did we miss yours? Share with us below!
