Some of us at DMNW have been raving for a long time, and some of us have newly fallen in love with EDM. We know that many of you fall somewhere along the line of veteran-to-newbie as well, and want to make sure everyone has the basics covered. Bear in mind that at DMNW, we will never advocate potentially harmful behavior, but if you or friends choose to do things that may be unsafe we want you to mitigate risks as much as possible. Whether you are new to raving or a seasoned veteran we hope this handy guide will be informative to you.

[label style=”1″]DO’s & DON’TS:[/label]

[textblock style=”3″]Don’t: Bring bad vibes. Raving is special and wonderful because of the people that make up the community. As tempting as it may be to snap at someone who bumps into you, think about the message it sends when you do that.[/textblock]

[textblock style=”2″]Do: Whether it’s your first show or your hundredth, bring an attitude of happiness and kindness. This means when the inevitable happens and someone does bump into you or says something “unPLUR” please respond the way you would to a friend you really care about. After all, people at raves are just friends you haven’t met yet! As much as we would love everyone to read this article before they go to their first show, we know this won’t happen and would love if every one of you took a newbie under your wings and showed them the ropes. Say hi to someone who looks out of place, give them their first piece of kandi and a hug! Acts of kindness spread ripples throughout a group of people so start something wonderful![/textblock]
