Seattle has a long history of innovative music genres that help to promote community and drive the next big thing. At its core, dance music is all about connecting the unique individual to a collective whole. The genre supports the opportunity to merge music with culture, west with east, PLURR with Bollywood.
Wicked Karma and Club Contour are doing just this, breaking down conventional stereotypes of the dance scene by merging Bollywood with EDM. The Bollywood industry has a long standing in the club music scene, most prominently seen in Above and Beyond’s music label Anjunabeats, named after a famous party beach in India.
Every month Contour hosts Bollysutra Bollywood RAVE, where guests can sip on Indian drinks while grooving to Bollywood progressive trance. Contour and Wicked Karma strive to emulate all things PLURR while playing music that challenges us to shatter cultural norms. At Bollysutra, you can experience something completely unique while connecting with like-minded people.
