This year’s Paradiso Festival has something very unique planned – something that has never been done before in the electronic music festival scene. Currently, in the Guinness Book of World Records, the largest group hug took place May 7th of 2010 in Ottawa, Canada. The hug consisted of 10,554 people. With last year’s Paradiso festival attracting over 25,000 people and this year’s attendance expected to exceed last year’s numbers, our community has a chance to crush the previous world record! We all have the opportunity to do something very out of the ordinary, and make a name for our community. All we need to do is come together!

As of May 30th, we as a community successfully raised the 700$ necessary in order for us to submit a “Fast Track” application to Guinness Book of World Records. The processing time for the standard application can vary from 6-12 weeks, and with Paradiso being so close, we did not have time for that! Thus, we created a gofundme campaign for donations toward the cause. In only 6 days, and with the help of 41 generous people, we were able to raise the 700$ faster than we ever hoped for. What an awesome community we are a part of! We have submitted the application to Guinness and we hope to be hearing from them very soon.
