Los Angeles-based duo Oliver, made up of Oliver ‘Oligee’ Goldstein and Vaughn ‘U-Tern’ Oliver, are streaming the debut track off of their upcoming EP, entitled Light Years Away. The track, Fast Forward, is one of two new tunes on the upcoming release, the other being the the title-track Light Years Away.
Fast Forward, premiered exclusively via Stereogum, is all of the funky electro you could ask for and signals great times ahead for Oliver. The new track keeps with the darker, more aggressive tone and style that we’re used to from the duo, and gives Fast Forward an edge that is uniquely ‘Oliver’.
The Light Years Away EP is out on September 9th via Fools Gold Records and can be pre-ordered here. The duo announced the release date and title of the EP earlier this month on their social media accounts and we couldn’t be more excited for new, original Oliver tunes. Light Years Away is the newest bunch of tracks released from Oliver. The last one was released in January 2013, entitled the Mechanical EP.
