Mini Power: The Perfect Way To Keep Your Phone Alive At Festivals

Designer Tsung Chih-Hsien has created a product, dubbed Mini Power, which is perfect for festivals and events across the world. Mini Power is a small cardboard tab that is also a disposable battery for your smartphone. Tsung’s design won the Red Dot Award for design concept this year and we envision it saving money, and stress, for ravers everywhere.

The biodegradable design replaces the typical plastic casing of most current disposable smartphone batteries, which are common in Asia. It features small cardboard capsules which can be used to charge your phone for either two, four, or six hours. The capsules would come on a perforated sheet and could easily be stored, say, in your pocket or bag while dancing at a show. The product, overall, is more environmentally friendly than competitors, but the lithium ion batteries inside are still not quite as friendly. In order to combat that, Tsung envisions Mini Power being able to be recycled at the same places they can be purchased from, such as convenience stores.
