You heard us right. Legendary DJ Shadow is coming to Seattle to play his experimental and hip-hop influenced tunes at Neptune Theatre. Born in San Francisco, Josh “Shadow” Davis started as a member of exSolesides label which has been an outlet for his original tracks. Since 1991, DJ Shadow has been releasing mix tapes and all sorts of instrumental goodies that range from wacky and weird to smooth and sexy. Shadow’s first full-length, Endtroducing…, was released on Mo’ Wax’s label in late 1996 to immense critical acclaim in Britain and America. Over the years, DJ Shadow has perfected his craft and continues to wow his audience with his unique and unmatched musical style.
This fall DJ Shadow and LA-based Cut Chemist will embark on the ‘Renegades of Rhythm Tour’, celebrating the legacy of Hip-Hop pioneer Afrika Bambaata. They will be making a stop at Neptune Theatre in our very own Seattle.
