3 Reasons You Shouldn’t Miss Jorn Van Deynhoven At The Underground

We get it. Social media hype over artists is almost completely out of control. Every week we are inundated with posts saying, “This show will be lit, fam!” or “Omg don’t miss this show,” and so on. So we can understand your apprehension when we say, “You should really check this show out.” To convince you, we have three plain and simple reasons why you absolutely shouldn’t miss Jorn van Deynhoven at The Underground in Pioneer Square this Saturday, March 19.

The Price:

Some deals are just way too good to pass up. Paying $15 for a show might seem a little steep, especially when there are so many clubs offering free guest lists, but the thing you have to realize is that you are paying for one of the most talented producers in the trance scene today. He’s not yet on the level of Aly & Fila, Ben Nicky, or Giuseppe Otaviani, but there is a very real chance that he will be soon. So $15 dollars is a steal especially given the venue. Which brings us to our next point …

The Venue:

With a packed summer festival season ahead of us and a winter of the same rotation of clubs behind us, it will be extremely refreshing to check out a venue we haven’t been to in a while. The Underground is probably one of the most intimate venues in Seattle — the show only has a couple hundred tickets available. The place offers a bit of history in every brick as it is nestled in the heart of Pioneer Square and, well, it’s underground. You want the old warehouse vibes coupled with modern production? Then this is definitely the place for you.

The Music:

As we said before, Jorn van Deynhoven is well on his way to making a name for himself and cutting his own very large niche in the scene. Jorn is as talented at remixing tracks as he is in his own original productions. He has released 12 original singles and remixed more than 40 tracks. He has been praised by most artists in the trance scene and has won our hearts at DMNW. Lastly he is also a part of the old guard when it comes to DJ talent. His mixes are just amazing and send you on a journey. Plus this will be his first Seattle appearance.

Phillip was raised on so many different genres of music, it has given him a unique perspective into the ever evolving music scene. Trance music began defining his life at the young age of 14, but thoroughly enjoys any type of music equally. He sees the music as an escape from the daily doldrums of life and says music can change a persons life in an instant pulling from his own experiences. His only goal in life is to share wonderful music with people and take electronic music to a higher plain with more accountability and creating a safer environment for his friends.
