Insomniac Shares the Wealth with Nevada Charities

We don’t have to tell you that raving is an expensive habit, you probably have the ticket stubs to prove it. Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas is no exception to the rule; their cheapest tickets were $335 + fees. But if you’ve purchased a ticket to EDCLV this year, or any Insomniac event in the recent past, it may bring a smile to your face to know that some of your ticket money went to a good cause.

Good ol’ Pasquale uploaded a picture to Instagram featuring 30 of his Insomniac Cares team members and three giant checks which were given to three different organizations. Recipients included the Injured Police Officers Fund, the Emergency Medicine Resident Research Fund, and HELP of Southern Nevada who provides assistance to low income families, homeless teens, and adults. Each organization got a check for $35k, and since some of the DMNW team have bought tickets from Insomniac recently, we feel a little warm and fuzzy about that.

The Insomniac Cares team also held an auction that raised more than $70k for Culture Shock Las Vegas. The nonprofit group aims to steer youth away from substance abuse and violence. In short, Insomniac may be cashing in on the explosion of EDM’s popularity, but at least they’re giving some of it back to worthwhile organizations. Pasquale ended his post by adding that if you’d like to get involved with Insomniac’s charitable efforts you can email them at InsomniacCares@insomniac.com.

Raving has a lot of negative connotation, so it would be nice if something more positive became associated with it more regularly, like charitable work and donations. We would also like to see our efforts toward harm reduction yield real results in lowered rates of medical emergencies and deaths. So let’s work on that one, too, yeah? Stay safe, Northwest!

Check out Pasquale’s Instagram post below, and let us know what you think. Is this just a ploy to make us feel better about blowing so much money on event tickets? Or is this a genuine act of sharing the wealth?

?❤️ The #InsomniacCares team rolled 30 deep in a bus to Vegas yesterday and had the honor of presenting 3 donations to 3 very worthwhile organizations that are making a difference: HELP (of Southern Nevada) who provides assistance to low-income families, homeless teens and adults; the Injured Police Officers Fund; and the Emergency Medicine Resident Research Fund. ?Also, we held an auction and raised over $70,000 for Culture Shock Las Vegas, a nonprofit dedicated to steering youth away from substance abuse and violence. ?? This help we are able to give also comes from You for supporting our Events, So Special Thanks and Love to You All! ❤️✨If you would like to get involved with our charitable efforts email us, your help is welcome!??InsomniacCares@insomniac.com
