Check out free community fun at Capitol Hill Block Party 2019

Not only does Capitol Hill Block Party bring many of our favorite artists to one block in the middle of Seattle, but it is also one of the few festivals that offers multiple free programming to everyone in the public!

From poster shows to skate sessions to pop-up shops, CHBP created events all throughout the week leading up to the show. We have gathered the full list for you below, check it out, stop by and open up your eyes to the world of Seattle art.

CHBP POSTER SHOW

Thursday, July 11

The work of 40+ local graphic designers at Vermillion Art Gallery. All unique poster designs for CHBP 2019 artists will be for sale, with 100% of the proceeds going directly back to the graphic designers. Learn more here.

KICKOFF PARTY & FUNDRAISER

Thursday, July 18

In partnership with KEXP, CHBP will kick off a brand new fundraising event at Neumos featuring additional performances from local artists with all proceeds benefiting The Yellowhammer Fund.

BATTLE ON THE BLOCK & COMMUNITY SKATE SESH

Saturday-Sunday, July 20-21

Partnering with 35th North skate shop to host CHBP’s second annual Battle on the Block skate competition, as well as Skate Like a Girl for an open community skate session at Cal Anderson Park. Get the details here.

THOUGHT LEADERSHIP PANEL + Q&A

Saturday, July 20

Given that Seattle is changing the creative landscape, it’s more important than ever for members of the local music community to come together with local businesses and the city to build relationships and discuss strategies for success. Check out all panelists and topics here.

SWEATBOX YOGA & PURE BARRE POP-UPS

Sunday, July 21

Join Sweatbox & Pure Barre for free outdoor classes at Cal Anderson Park to get your body ready for the final day of Capitol Hill Block Party. Spots are limited, so be sure to RSVP here.

CHBP BAT‘N ROUGE SOFTBALL FUNDRAISER

Sunday, July 21

Bringing back the beloved Bat‘n Rouge softball fundraiser between the Lez Bros and the Drag Queens at the Cal Anderson Baseball Diamond. All proceeds from the game will be donated to Lifelong. Learn more here.

 

DJs @ CHOPHOUSE ROW

Friday-Sunday, July 19-21

Partnering with Chophouse Row to bring you live DJ sets in their trendy indoor/outdoor courtyard. Free to the public via access from Chophouse’s entrance on 12th Avenue, as well as CHBP ticket holders within the festival gates. Learn more here.

CHBP AFTER DARK

Friday-Sunday, July 19-21

Keep the party going even after CHBP ends with performances from 20+ local DJs across six Capitol Hill venues through 2 am. Learn more here.

PHOTO SHOWCASE

All July 2019

Caffe Vita will be showcasing some of our local photographers’ greatest shots from past CHBP throughout the entire month of July. Be sure to check it out during Capitol Hill Art Walk!
