Foundation Nightclub Announces Two Amazing PRIDE Weekend Events

The Pacific Northwest has always fostered a progressive and forward-thinking culture. We have embraced our diversity with open arms and acceptance of one another. PRIDE Weekend in Seattle is one of the greatest weekends to enjoy the spirit of that tenet. Electronic music has always been at the helm of that inclusive culture, from the warehouses in Detroit and the Clubs in Chicago in the 70’s and 80’s that paved the way, to clubs throughout all our various major cities. Foundation Nightclub is set to join those ranks with two events for PRIDE Weekend in Seattle!

WCKD Streak Productions is kicking off the weekend, joined by Kiyomi Valentine, as she hosts the Hottest Friday night party during Seattle Pride! Kiyomi will also deliver an exciting acoustic set, along with a headlining set from The L Word‘s Daniela Sea and Swedish DJ, Gunn Lendamo. Also joining us will be DJ Miss M and Von Kiss. Suffice it to say, it’s a stacked Pride Weekend lineup (tickets are available now here).

Then, on Saturday night, Verotica Events takes over Foundation for a continuation of their Summer Pride event series “DIVINE” with DJ Grind! This night will be hosted as an “intimate celebration of what it means to be alive, to be proud of who we are, and to make special memories on the dance floor” says the events promoter. DJ Grind will also be accompanied by Seattle local, DJ Dana Dub. There’s also a rumor that this night may be going to extended hours. We’ll let you know if it’s true when we get confirmation (tickets here).

This will be the first time that Foundation has brought in external promotion groups to take over their club since Mafi Events’ stunning “Outre” night, and the aim is to create a more inclusive environment for the entirety of Seattle. Foundation Marketing Director and Resident DJ, Brandon Noftsger, tells us how “this is an opportunity to show Seattle’s LGBTQ community that we are an ally. We are so proud to have such a diverse community and we want to show our Pride for that community.”

As always, there are a few things to remember, namely that homophobia, intolerance, racism, or any other kind of attitude that inspires hate will not be welcomed. This is an event to celebrate love, and we hope that all attendees will treat it that way! Head on over to the official Facebook page here to get the full schedule of events — we hope to see you at Foundation this weekend, as they open their doors to what’s sure to be the best PRIDE Weekend ever!

Phillip was raised on so many different genres of music, it has given him a unique perspective into the ever evolving music scene. Trance music began defining his life at the young age of 14, but thoroughly enjoys any type of music equally. He sees the music as an escape from the daily doldrums of life and says music can change a persons life in an instant pulling from his own experiences. His only goal in life is to share wonderful music with people and take electronic music to a higher plain with more accountability and creating a safer environment for his friends.
