In the sports world, the Boise State University is synonymous with one thing: its blue football field. Installed in 1986, Boise State’s blue field was the first non-green playing surface in football history. In recent years, smaller universities across America have developed colored football fields of their own- including “The Inferno”,  Eastern Washington University’s devilishly red field in 2010. You can get a peak of the Boise Blue for free, or go on a guided tour to learn about its unique history.
