Festivus Music Festival Drops 2017 Lineup, And It’s A Heater!

You know those festivals that remained in place for years, yet stay a closely guarded secret? Not due to the festival itself, but because it’s mysterious, smaller festival. Those in the know can’t stop talking about it, and it works! Well, this is definitely the case with Squamish based festival Festivus!

Focused on the housier side of things, and playing homage to the old school veterans of the PNW house music scene, Festivus is now entering it’s 13th year. To round things out, this year features house music legend Giom, as well as an absolutely stacked lineup of BC talent. This will surely be a summer that we won’t soon forget! The greatest thing about smaller festivals like this is the intimate vibe from it. Large festivals are amazing to experience so many different things at once, but these sorts of festivals make you feel like you’re at a family reunion.

The lineup? Stacked. You’ll recognize most of the names on there as the backbone of the Vancouver music scene, with such names as Electric Love founder Ollie Ple, festival regulars Neighbour, Application, Joseph Martin, WMNSTUDIES, and J Girl & Manousos. Vancouver Island is also representing with crowd favourites like Mykee, DJ Carson. Although he doesn’t live there anymore, Lando will also be an island import you certainly don’t wanna miss! Plus, not to mention Vancouver legends Derrick Vnuk, Heidrogen, Average Gypsy, Alex Mei, and so many more. There’s bound to be something for everyone! The name of the game is house music, but don’t be surprised if you come across anything and everything with this diverse artist portfolio coming together.

First tier tickets SOLD OUT, but second tier is available for $180 CAD ($133.60 USD) via etransfer or Paypal to festivusmusicfestival@gmail.com. Hard copy tickets will soon be available for regional distribution throughout BC, Alberta, and Seattle.

Check out the info on the Facebook page and get those tickets! We will update more info on this massive event as we hear more. Dance Music Northwest is going on an adventure this summer, and we want you all to join us! Who’s coming with? Have you attended previously? If, so what are your favorite memories? Let us know in the comments!
