Dash Berlin Takes Us On A Feels Trip (Review)

Before taking to the Quantum Valley and kineticFIELD stages at EDC Vegas this weekend, Dash Berlin’s journey to the electric sky made one final pit stop right here in Seattle!

After playing last year’s Freaknight main stage, the Dutch trance icon made his much anticipated Emerald City return Thursday night for a more intimate show at Foundation. Playing in front of a near sellout crowd, Dash Berlin showed why he truly is a “legend of the feels” (also the title of his current tour).

Opening with his energetic remix of Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson’s Symphony, followed by Nervo’s Ready for the Weekend,  it didn’t take long for Dash to slow it up. The feels came early when he played his remix of Alan Walker’s Faded – the crowd singing the track’s memorable opening verse word-for-word.

Moments later, he dropped Underneath the Sky, his emotional collab with singer Christon Rigby, which had almost everyone in attendance holding both hands in the air as the song played out. Of the many shows we’ve been to this year, so far, that moment is something we soon won’t forget; you just had to be there!

The biggest reactions of the night, however, came when Dash played his classic melodies, which dominated the last 45 minutes of his set. The crowd roared when Waiting came on, cellphones coming out in unison the moment a visual of stunning Australian singer/songwriter/ trance vocalist Emma Hewitt first appeared on screen. Better Half of Me and Coming Home made for more emotional mass sing alongs, while remixes of Sweet Dreams and Better Off Alone lead to some serious nostalgia.

Ending the night with Till the Sky Falls Down, Dash would hop on top of the stage to fire up an excitable crowd one last time. Chants of “one more song! One more song!” filled the air after he bid his final farewell. While he couldn’t oblige, he did pose with fans for photos. A true class act, we can’t wait for Dash Berlin to return to Seattle to sereneade is with the feels!
