Etnik Displays Dark Emotions In ‘Neon Daze’ EP

We continue to see new and amazingly different sounds from the artists on the Owsla Label, and it’s exciting to ponder what we’ll hear next. Lucky for us, that day has come again. It’s usually pretty rare to come across a genre of music that is on the cusp of being “uncategorizable,” but Oswla artist Etnik is constantly striving to create a unique new techno sound. And today, we find ourselves incapable of classifying his new Neon Daze EP as anything but “И”-techno. In Etnik’s own words:
Influenced by nightlife, driven by perfection… 5 tracks which characterized 5 different emotions, you may not be able to hear them at the first time – so listen carefully.”
The Neon Daze EP definitely has a nightclub techno feel to it, delving even into dark-trance. Since there is no point in trying to describe this unique Etnik sound, listen for yourself and see if you can pick out the 5 different emotions Etnik is trying to get across.
