Eric Prydz Makes EPIC Announcements for 2016

Fellow Northwesterners, if you thought you were stoked when Reddit Top 100 DJ winner Eric Prydz was announced to headline Resolution 2016, how must you feel now? In addition to the recent announcement and selling out the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on January 2, we are now blessed with even more good Pryda news: an album and EPIC 4.0!

In addition to his debut artist album OPUS being released on February 5, 2016, Mr. Prydz brings us the first phase of his Epic 4.0 tour announcement. The three lucky cities to host shows throughout the month of February so far are New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Tickets for all five shows go on sale Friday December 4 at noon, local time. (That means tickets will be on sale at noon per the time zone in which the venue exists.)

Friday February 19 – Palladium, Los Angeles, CA

Saturday February 20 – Palladium, Los Angeles, CA

Saturday February 27 – Armory, San Francisco, CA[/accordion-group]

On the Facebook announcement, Eric responded to several fan questions and comments. We appreciated one in particular; when he promised that each and every show will be different. That’s not always the case when you see an artist twice (or more) in a short period of time. Sometimes you find yourself expecting a certain track or a certain drop because it turns out that “live” set wasn’t as “live” as you had hoped. Props to Eric Prydz! He also confirms that there will indeed be holograms, because “it would not be EP/IC otherwise.”

We’re definitely considering a trip to San Francisco for this, but really crossing our fingers for an EPIC 4.0 tour stop closer to home in the PNW.

What do you think, guys? Snag tickets for San Francisco or wait for the next phase of the announcement? We’re getting a whole lot of Prydz in our area around New Years, so is an EPIC 4.0 stop *too* optimistic to dream of?
