Auction Gets Set Up On eBay for Fyre Festival Victims

As many people watched on Hulu and/or Netflix, the Fyre Festival did not go off as expected. While many people suffered at the festival, many more lost a lot of money from one guy’s decision to keep going. As Billy McFarland is currently serving a prison sentence, others are trying to pay back the victims by an auction on eBay.

When we first heard of this auction, the idea that it could make a dent in what Billy McFarland owed sounded impossible, but a hat is going for $600, while a wristband is starting at $1,000. There are about 2 boxes of merchandise that were handed over by the United States Marshals Service to sell. At least while Billy McFarland is in prison others are seeing the importance of paying back what he owes.

If you have any want to bid on these items make sure they are authentic. We do not need anyone else losing money because of the Fyre Festival. There are a number inauthentic items listed on eBay. If anything this whole thing has taught us we can’t trust what you see on the internet.

What do you think of the eBay auction? Let us know on our Facebook and Twitter!
