I grew up listening to just about everything, but it was back in ’85, the first Hip Hop tape given to me was a mix a Bronx woman dropped to me, when I lived in Bad Krueznach, Germany. Hooked on the beat from that day forward. Funk, jazz, soul, pop, country, rock, before that, but something about the beat changed for me forever. Listened to Hip Hop and Rock all through Junior High and High School.
Some of my favorites and influences growing up were A Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul, Eric B. and Rakim, EPMD, Wu-Tang, Slick Rick, Public Enemy, Sir Mix-A-Lot, DILLA, The Pharcyde, Leaders of the New School, Del Tha Funky Homosapien, Das Efx, Heavy D, and the Beastie Boys.
Started going to parties and hooked on House Music in ’97. Started buying vinyl, learned to DJ, loved it, but wanted to hear my own ideas over the speakers. Went back to school to learn Audio Production, moved to Brooklyn, inspiration sparked, story was written and here I am.
Jazz, Soul, Hip Hop, Funk, Rock, and Electronic Music beat in my soul. I’ll make House, Breaks, Hip Hop, Nu Jazz, or Acid Jazz. Whatever pops in my head I put it down.
Thanks for being here, welcome to my world.
