From gracing the decks at one of BC’s biggest music festivals to hyping crowds in the party-central of Miami, Konka has earned himself a strong reputation in the bass music scene as a tastemaking producer with a distinct ear for future sounds.

Carrying forward his musical influences from his years as a drummer and performer in a blues metal band, Konka made a natural progression into electronic music with the discovery of Drum & Bass and Dubstep. Ever since, his productions have set the bar high among his peers. Earning himself residencies at Vancouver’s top bass music nights Subculture Saturdays and Way Home, Konka is frequently spotted flaunting his productions while supporting some of the biggest names in Hybrid Trap, Dubstep, and all around Heavy Bass, including G Jones, Flux Pavillion, Quix & Protohype.

Influenced by a range of artists like Alix Perez, EPROM, G Jones, Ivy Lab, My Nu Leng, Noisia, X&G and Josh Pan, Konka is a natural at adapting his style while remaining a champion of his own sound. You can expect to hear anything from a delicate blend of Hip-Hop beats infused with Drum & Bass, to Hybrid Trap, Jackin’ House, Dubstep and Grime in his carefully curated sets, but still be able to tell when Konka’s on stage. Whatever he’s dropping, you can be sure to walk away with a new definition of the terms “heavy and experimental” as he leaves you both pleasantly puzzled and wide awake. He does this not only through his selection, but tremendous stage presence too. Konka matches his high-energy sets with intense vigor and attitude on stage as he flawlessly freestyles across the world of bass, constantly heightening the engagement in the room and challenging photographers to snap a still moment!

Moving forward, Konka is ready to showcase his new EP forthcoming on Aufect Records while wrapping up releases on additional labels.
