Dillon Francis’ deep-house obsessed alter-ego DJ Hanzel has been well-documented over the last year or so. He’s German, he hates trap music, and he’s always aiming to go “one deeper.” Now he’s apparently performing live, opening for Dillon Francis at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.
If you’re wondering whether or not it was a sincere attempt at performing, we can tell you with complete honesty that it actually seemed fairly decent (from the 10 minutes we’ve seen). DJ Hanzel drops a solid blend of deep house and tech that actually make us think this is Dillon’s way of easing us into recognizing him as something other than a moombah/trap master.
