Decibel Festival And The Fountain Of Lights

The title of this article sounds like a wispy fantasy novel written by one of the greats like Tolkien, Martin, or Rowling, but in fact the Fountain Of Light is an actual event that you can attend at Seattle Center. On Friday, August 14, you can head to the international fountain located at the Seattle Center and indulge in a master piece of light and electronic sound. As described by the promoters:

“Once a year Seattle Center partners with Decibel Festival to throw an all-out dance party in International Fountain. We turn the water of the fountain into a giant projection screen and invite an amazing digital artist to create mind-blowing visuals, timed to the grooves of top-notch local DJs. … It’s a party unlike any other in Seattle.”

The best part about this event is that it is completely free! Not a single soul will be turned away. On top of that, the accompanying music will be provided by DJ Gigs (aka Natasha Kmeto: Dropping Gems, Portland) and Decibel Festival founder himself, DJ Nordic Soul (aka Sean Horton: Decibel Festival, Seattle). Along with these amazing Northwest artists, the fountain will be illuminated with projection mapping provided by Baryonyx. Your eyes and ears will thank you for the incredible stimulation from an unrelenting and photonic invasion.

If there is any way to get hyped about Decibel Festival, this is it. Are you going to the Decibel Festival? Who are you most excited to see?

Phillip was raised on so many different genres of music, it has given him a unique perspective into the ever evolving music scene. Trance music began defining his life at the young age of 14, but thoroughly enjoys any type of music equally. He sees the music as an escape from the daily doldrums of life and says music can change a persons life in an instant pulling from his own experiences. His only goal in life is to share wonderful music with people and take electronic music to a higher plain with more accountability and creating a safer environment for his friends.
