Daniella Watters Features Northwest Legend In “Never Will Die”

Toronto-based singer/songwriter Daniella Watters has released another original tune, but this one is special for many reasons. Never Will Die draws from various important aspects of Watters life and features a wonderful video to tie it all together. Watters has a history in music, recording her first song at age 11 and becoming a member of female pop trio Untamed at age 13. Now 27 years old, Watters has since developed her own unique sound and style that focuses on her scintillating vocals.

The inspiration for Never Will Die begins with Watters relationship with her Yaiya, who was a nanny, a second mother, a friend, and her family’s adopted grandmother. After the unfortunate passing of Yaiya, Watters began thinking about the meanings of life and death and other spiritual questions. These questions and thoughts spurred on the creation of Never Will Die, which is a tribute to Yaiya.

For the music video, Watters drew from her childhood as a figure skater, whose dream was to skate at the Olympics to her own music. After a couple months of training and choreographing a routine to match the emotion and passion of Never Will Die, Watters has released the video to the masses. The video also features the return of legendary Northwest-based artist/actor/myth Sasquatch (aka Bigfoot). Sasquatch has been focusing on his acting since his debut performance in 1967, but it seems as though the current pop music climate is more enticing than what Jack Link’s Beef Jerky has to offer.
