Cause & Affect, comprised of UK DJs Chris Lorenzo and Kane, is a duo that is increasingly recognized for pioneering a new sound: a hybrid of Jack House and Bass. This translates into what Cause & Affect themselves describe as “forward-thinking house music with a seriously heavy bottom end”. Injecting more bass sound into house gives Cause & Affect an edge and the opportunity to diversify established sounds and genres.
As the duo gains traction, they are fueled by a combination of several efforts working together: remixes for Stanton Warriors, remixes in collaboration with legendary US house label Strictly Rhythm and Brodinski’s Bromance label, a cut on Dirtybird’s recent BBQ comp, Lorenzo’s award-nominated productions with Hannah Wants, and accolades from the likes of Annie Mac, Eats Everything, Monki, Skream, B Traits, Target and EZ.
