The Greek Theater in Los Angeles is one of the most beautiful venues in the world and probably one of the most renowned. It pales in comparison to the Gorge Amphitheater here, but it is still pretty amazing. That stage has graced us with some of the most amazing musical performances in history from all genres of music and now it has welcomed one of the most talented electronic acts to its forum.
Above & Beyond’s performance at that theater was absolutely, hands down, one of the most amazing musical performances we have ever seen. Some of here at Dance Music Northwest have been a fan of Above & Beyond since we first heard Pete Tong play one of their very first tracks on hiss BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix. Pete Tong said “you’d better pay attention to these guys because they’re going to do some amazing things.” That was almost 11 years ago. True to Pete Tongs words, they have created something amazing with their acoustic album and the handful of performances they have done with it.
This after movie isn’t like the one produced by Thump. This gives you more insight into the significance of this performance and also how they formed the whole band from conception to execution. It also features Sonny Moore, AKA Skrilllex, playing guitar on stage with the boys to Black Room Boy. Also, you should know, this video will give you goose bumps all the way through the video.
