While Northwest dance music fans have had their news feed’s full of news (and not news) regarding FreakNight 2015 the last few days, some actual news regarding one of the most anticipated albums of 2015 was released this week. British trio NERO announced, via their Facebook page, that the release of their latest album, Between II Worlds, would be delayed two weeks from the initial August 28th date. That sets up for a Friday, September 11th release date. While we’re bummed about the delay, we’ll gladly wait two weeks for what’s bound to be one of the best albums of the year.
We’ve already been treated to several tracks from the 12-tune work (five in all) so any complaints should be shifted to the group’s Soundcloud page, where there’s plenty of new(ish) NERO to go-around. Between II Worlds follows the trio’s debut album, Welcome Reality, which blew everyone away in 2011. They’ve continued to stay busy, and recently announced their North American fall tour, which comes after a festival-filled summer with stops throughout Europe and North America.
NERO’s 2015 North American tour poster reveals several dates along the west coast, with two blurred dates at the end of October. We’ve already had one of those dates revealed, with the release of the Hard Day Of The Dead 2015 lineup, so here’s hoping NERO ends their Northwest-show-drought that’s plagued our corner of the country the last couple years.
