We are consistently impressed with the work of Seattle’s own DJ Bassrock. He gravitates towards progressive house but is dynamic and flexible in his musical choices, balancing and blending his style with trance and electro house. With his latest track, I’ll Be Here, he brings us a perfectly dance worthy progressive house original. It is filled with long swells that lead into powerful strikes and synth work and ends in an electro sound fest full of synth plucks. This track is something great to listen to on a warm evening, in the car, with the windows rolled down (to share the beats with everyone around us). Our only complaint is that this song is on the short side; we would love to hear Bassrock spin it live and stretch out the fun song he’s crafted.
Bassrock calls this song “a piece of my heart broken off for all of you” and truly, we can sense that he puts everything he’s got into the songs he produces. We can’t help but wonder what is next from this young and energetic DJ, with Seattle supporting him as he grows in both skill and confidence.
