The Future Is Brighter With Bad Vision

We aren’t sure if they can even see it, but LA boys Bad Vision is heading straight to the top of progressive house and into the hottest club sets on the West Coast and beyond. How do we know? We are trusting them blindly, but we have a great sense of hearing. Just check out their remix of Avicii’s Wake Me Up, and you, too, will fall victim to Bad Vision.

Unlike the “safer” versions of Wake Me Up remixes, Bad Vision’s starts off right away as its own individualistic style. The minor chords give the the track a completely different vibe, and the creeping, progressive build is as curious as it is enticing. As the track moves, a big room kick keeps the dance floor energy up, with rising synths and epic electronic chords. The build twists up to its highest point until a mechanical drill drops in with a hard-hitting, 4-on-the-floor round-house kick to the face. As you pick your jaw up off the floor, just remember – that although this may hurt your rainbow and ponies vision of the original Wake Me Up, we promise that when Bad Vision’s music hits you, you feel no pain. Speaking of No Pain.. Yes, they went there too:

Hardstyle hits open up the track, letting us know it means business. This is one of those tracks you kick your own ass to at the gym, no matter how much it hurts. Motivating, heart-pumping, and it sure ain’t got time for no pain. Bad Vision’s heavy progressive build and stellar use of the vocal sample make No Pain prominent, unique, and straight-up badass. We can’t decide which track we love more. It’s been a while since progressive house has hit this hard, or this dark; It’s an entirely under-explored side of the genre, one so melodically well-crafted we can’t help but give into its seduction. So come with us as we turn away from the light – Now that we have Bad Vision, we can never see what’s coming next… And that’s where the fun begins.
