Vote Now: A State of Trance Tune of the Year 2017

asot tune of the year 2017

After a resurgent 2016, trance music’s return to glory continues to be one of the feel good stories in electronic dance music today. This year has seen a wealth of brilliant releases from trance artists old and new. Deciding what song is the cream of the crop? There’s no easy answer there, but it’s not stopping one trance legend from finding out. And he needs your help!

Armin van Buuren, the godfather of the genre, has opened his annual A State of Trance: Tune of the Year competition. In it, fans are able to vote for their five favorite trance tunes released to date. After voting closes on December 18th, the winner will be announced four days later on Armin’s A State of Trance weekly radio show.

Last year, Aly & Fila‘s Unbreakable scored top honors. Will the Egyptian trance duo be able to come out on top again? Doing so won’t be easy; the field is pretty fierce! Gareth Emery and Standerwick‘s Saving Light might be the current favorite, based on how much praise it’s received from Armin, and the global trance community, since it’s release in January. At one point, Saving Light was the number one song on the Beatport Top 100- the first time in five years that a trance song stood atop the website’s signature chart.

Is Saving Light your tune of the year? If not, what is? Cast your vote here !
