Andrew Rayel Talks Dreamstate SoCal, New Years, and Vancouver Food (Interview)

Nothing can stop Andrew Rayel right now. Not even a serious infection! Just two weeks following an emergency procedure to address an internal nose infection that posed a threat to his eyesight and brain, the Moldovan Mozart took to the Dreamstate SoCal main stage last weekend and didn’t miss a beat. Delivering a memorable set that was both energetic and melodic. We were able to catch up with Andrew right before he hit the stage, where he dished on an assortment topics: including his love of Vancouver B.C.!

Scheduled to perform at Solid’s NYE 2018, Andrew says he is excited to return to the Pacific Coliseum for a New Years show for the second time in his career- performing previously at Solid NYE 2015. “It’s going to be a more traditional Andrew Rayel, really hard-rocking, banging show,” he previews.

A regular to British Columbia’s largest city, Andrew praises his Western Canadian fans, the nearby mountains, weather, and good eats. “The food is incredible! The sushi there is amazing,” he says. As for poutine, a popular dish in Vancouver, he’s tried it once. Let’s just say once was enough!

As for the new year itself, big things are on the horizon for Andrew; fans are in for some serious treats! Recently launching his own record label, InHarmony, Andrew is in disbelief when talking about how fast it is progressing. From now, to April, Andrew aims to release two tracks each month. Dreamstate SoCal saw him premiere his latest single Soul on the Run, a collaboration with “some Romanian guys.” “It’s a touching story to one of the guys who passed away,” he describes.

With a bill of good health and exciting new projects, we can’t wait to see what Andrew does next. If his Dreamstate SoCal set is any indication, 2018 might be his best year yet!

Tickets to Solid NYE 2018 are still available. Will you be ringing in the New Year with Andrew Rayel, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, and more?
