7. ANIMALZ in Paris, France

ANIMALZ may very well be the biggest night of bass music you’ve never heard of. It’s not a festival. It’s not a promoter-run massive a la Freaknight. No, it’s just Dirtyphonics’ yearly show in their hometown of Paris, France, that in 2015 featured local favorite KJ Sawka, along with Figure, 50 Carrot, and more. Originally slated for around 3000 attendees back in 2013, Dirtyphonics was forced to double the capacity to 6000 following an unprecedented demand for tickets. It’s now grown to outrageous proportions, having morphed into a full-on iconic dubstep brand (the last Animalz show was in April of this year).

Thanks to the sold-out crowd that packed Terminal 4 in Paris, ANIMALZ became one of (if not the) biggest standalone bass shows in the world. That being so, we have a hard time believing a “dying” genre could pull that much support for a single night of music.
