6 Music Podcasts Every Dance Music Fan Should Follow, Pt. II

Every month, every week, new tracks are consistently releasing to SoundCloud, iTunes, and Spotify. Our favorite thing about electronic music and streaming services is how quickly we are able to listen to and share music.  These media outlets allow us to hear new songs all the time, and one of the best ways we’ve found to update your EDM repertoire is by checking out podcasts. We have tackled this topic before with six other awesome mixes and honorable mentions, but felt it was time to revisit some of our favorites and add them to the list. When we say podcast, we mean it loosely to also include mixes and radio shows. The following list describes podcasts that spans a variety of genres and artists. Despite your genre partiality each mix can offer the listener something different.

Musical Freedom Radio – Musical Freedom Records

To have the opportunity to listen to artists of several genre’s, Musical Freedom Radio may be the series for you. Founded by Tiesto in 2009, Musical Freedom Records now includes artist like Henry Fong, Moti, Blasterjaxx, and Oliver Heldens. The monthly radio show features artists spanning from mainstream to house to future. Features in each episode are often from the label, but artists like John Dahlback, and Don Diablo are also on the roster. November’s episode has not been released yet, but October’s episode featuring Ephwurd will definitely hold you over until then. You can find all podcasts of Musical Freedom Radio, and other features from artists on the label via their SoundCloud.

Too Future Guest Mix Series – Too Future

For a hefty hit of future sound, look no further. The Too Future Guest Mix Series releases a monthly mix that ranges from future bass to future house. Each artist brings something different to the table that will whet future enthusiasts. November’s Guest Mix features Luca Lush, commonly known for creating popular remixes like his “flip” of the Chainsmoker’s All We Know. Other artists featured on the series include CRNKN, Point Point, Robotaki, and more. Our favorites so far include Ekali’s (who will be at Q Nightclub’s FWD Wednesday on the 23rd) and Ellusive’s mixes. Both sets include varying, engaging tracks that will really resonate with future bass lovers.

Nice Hair – The Chainsmokers

We know some people are tired of hearing about the Chainsmokers, but no matter what their monthly show seems to resonate with us. They often discuss new songs, tour dates, and other technical topics within the first few minutes, and then quickly get to the music. Recently, the duo has featured guest artists on their show, and luckily plan to continue it in the future. The first artist feature on Nice Hair was Vanic in Episode 26, and we have to say Vanic played a list of killer tracks. The following episode featured Illenium, which definitely got us pumped up for Illenium’s Ashes tour at the Showbox next month. This month’s episode features The Him, and you can listen to it along with their other mixes on SoundCloud.
