6 Albums We Can’t Wait For This Summer

[divider]NERO – BETWEEN II WORLDS[/divider]

It’s coming. Soon. And this time, ‘coming soon’ has a date attached. Due out on August 28th, NERO’s sophomore album Between II Worlds is being released via Chase & Status’s MTA Records. NERO’s debut work, Welcome Reality, was released by MTA in 2011, and the impatient wait for more has been dragging on in excruciating fashion ever since.

We haven’t been completely deprived, though, as we’ve received three NERO tunes in the last 12 months, all of which will feature on Between II Worlds. Releasing Satisfy (to great acclaim) in May of last year, the British trio unleashed The Thrill last month, and the title-track to the upcoming album last week. They’ve shown us that, while it may have been a few years since their debut album, they’re still the NERO we know and love. Hopefully the album release is coupled with a Northwest tour stop, as it’s been far too long since their last visit. You can pre-order Between II Worlds on iTunes here, and you’ll receive Satisfy and Between II Worlds instantly.

[divider]ZEDD – TRUE COLORS[/divider]

If there’s any artist who can follow up a Grammy Award-winning debut, it’s German-born Zedd. Also known as Anton Zaslavski, classically trained Zedd hit the EDM jack-pot when Clarity was released in 2012. Producing hit-after-hit, and continuing to capitalize on his initial success, Zedd has become one of the premier producers in all of music. With his follow-up, True Colors, due out on May 19th via Interscope Records, many will be interested to see the direction the 25-year-old goes in. Whether he goes back to his electro-heavy beginnings, continues his trend toward a more radio-friendly sound, or a somewhere in between, we know we’ll be listening to True Colors all summer long. The 11-track album is currently available for pre-order via iTunes here.

[divider]ALESSO – FOREVER[/divider]

An album Northwest fans are likely to experience a good portion of at Paradiso 2015, Alesso’s Forever is on every dance music fan’s radar. With a scheduled release of May 26th, Alesso’s 14-track studio album debut comes to us right in time for the heart of festival season. The 23-year-old Swede has been building his portfolio and gaining fans since working with Sebastian Ingrosso and Ryan Tedder and releasing smash-hit Calling (Losing My Mind) in 2012. His live-sets from Ultra Music Festival and Coachella are already playlist musts, and we’re betting Forever will join them next month, which you can pre-order via iTunes here.
