4 Monday Mixes To Get You Through The Week

[divider]Tritonia 87 – Tritonal[/divider]

Regularly scheduled visits to Tritonia are a must for many ravers in the Northwest, and this week should be no different. The American duo are Northwest favorites and after a listen to their latest mix, it’s obvious why. Moving from trance to a more progressive sound, Tritonal have successfully redefined their sound and style, something many acts and artists struggle to do. More impressively, they’ve utilized this transformation to continually build on past successes. Last year saw hit after hit for the duo, and 2015 is beginning much the same. Combining masterful melodies and powerful progressive house, Tritonal’s weekly radio show is a long-term remedy for Mondays.

Another duo who will always get massive amounts of Northwest love, German duo Cosmic Gate’s ‘Wake Your Mind Radio’ is one of the best weekly trance samplings you’ll find. Dance music veterans with six studio albums to their credit, Cosmic Gate know how to give you what you want, without you even knowing you were interested. Their 50th episode of WYM Radio includes details on their plans for Miami Music Week (which is this week) and tunes from recent Northwest visitors Ilan Bluestone, Mark Sixma, and Audien. Comparable to ABGT and ASOT, Cosmic Gate’s Wake Your Mind Radio should be in your progressive/trance mix rotation.

20-year-old Oliver Heldens is part of the massive Dutch contingent of artists seemingly intent on taking over EDM. He’s been releasing tunes since 2013 and continues to impress, gaining fans and respect of fellow artists everywhere. He released a collaboration, entitled You Know, with Canadian duo Zeds Dead earlier this year. If it’s any indication, Heldens is in for another year full of growth and praise. His weekly radio show is a great escape into the growing sound of future and deep house, and is a nice change of pace for anyone’s work day.
