How much do you know about 1990s dance music?

90s rave gear

Thanks to the folks running the Facebook page over at technohistory.org, 90s ravers and dance music fans can test their decades-old knowledge of our favorite genre. Huh?

Posting pictures of a 1990s card-game created by a German record label, not altogether different from Trivial Pursuit, technohistory.org shared an interesting glimpse into dance music’s past. Released in 1996, the Techno Quiz from !K7 Records features questions like “Which German label tried to make it in the USA in 1995?” and “Who is the most famous trance-baby?”.

Of course, the answers are a bit wonky, especially now. While not necessarily inaccurate, the current scoring of the game may end up more like a game of Chardee Macdennis than how it was originally intended. Either way, we’re in. In the least, the game could be used to bring that know-it-all techno-snob we all have in our rave families down a few pegs.
